H?zuki-ichi "The Chinese Lantern Plant Fair"

This is a summer tradition called "H?zuki-ichi". The sale of chinese lantern plants, free sake, a portable shrine carried by children, and accompanying music will be held at the street that is opened as vehicle-free promenade.

Lots of citizens and tourists dance together to the folksong called "Aizu Bandai-san". The landladies and many geishas are to set an example, so everyone can be enjoyed.

The new-year market has a history of over 400 years. Over 400 stands and stalls open from morning to night.

The Aizu Painted Candle Festival
Tsuruga-jo castle, Oyakuen garden, etc

"The Aizu painted candle" is one of the traditional industrial art objects of Aizu. Approximately 10, 000 candles sparkle in snow.
